Premier's Gold Standard

Sophie is one of the rare SOLID DARK ROSE GREY, full Peruvian alpacas. She is beautiful and the judges have agreed. Her pedigree shows Pperuvian Guellermo and 4Peruvian Legacy as grandsires.

Sophie is a very solid female. Her conformation is excellent and her bone is medium/heavy. She has extremely dense fiber that has lovely crimp. She gives birth easily and has plenty of milk.

Sophie is so special that we sent her half way across the country to be bred to The Reverend Mr. Black in CO for her first cria. RMB is one of the best black studs in the U.S. The resulting true black female who we named Premier's Adriana (meaning dark beauty) is one of the nicest crias we have had. We sold Adriana to Janus Alpaca and Fiber Company, and she is the pride of their foundation females. Adriana's fiber took a first place in Alpacapalooza's 2008 competition.

Sophie's second cria is a lovely, solid black female out of Premier's Rubio, a male with extraordinary rose grey fiber. Satin Noire has crimp from her chin to her knees and even in her apron. She got a "best handle in the class" compliment in the show ring!

Sophie's cria from Onyx's Grey Navigator owned by Janus Alpaca and Fiber Company arrived 6-13. It is a male, predominantly medium fawn but with a vicuna belly. He is sturdy, beautifully built and has gorgeous dark eyes. His fiber has awesome crimp, staple length and amazing shine. Dr. Tibary is extremely impressed with the testicle size on this little guy.

Sophie has taken high awards in the show ring in both full fleece and shorn classes, including at the national level. Her fiber has also done very well in fleece competitions.
