Alpacapalooza 2015!

Wow, what a show! The increased energy and renewed enthusiasm this year was phenomenal! Showing is one of the BEST parts of alpaca ownership! And gathering every year to see how you measure up against other farms is always exciting. Alpacapalooza is a fiercely competitive show with the top NW farms showing their best! This year, we took nine animals and eight of them earning ribbons. Of which, five of the nine garnered a place in top 3 of their respective classes. This is impressive being in the company of some renowned NW alpaca ranch royalty farms in the US.
Seeing our friends at Alpacapalooza is the best part of the showing experience!
Saturday night’s events started with a our announcer Jeff Merrifield putting on a comedic show and warming up the crowd for the auction bidding with a bottle of Pisco, which we donated! It went for $250 – wow! The herdsire auction went well and was lively with nine different choices in an array of colors.
Crescent Moon Ranch donated their herdsire “Greener Pasture’s Malachi” which we won in a partnership between Stellar Alpacas/Longneckers/Fiber Meadows. This light fawn herdsire is a cross between the one and only Peruvian Elite and Peruvian Legacy! These genetics have been closed and we are very excited about adding him!
