Rewarding Summers

What was summer like before being on cria watch, delivering crias, shearing and breeding alpacas? It must have been sooooo boring!
Always something to do on the farm, each year life gets fuller and faster. I’m not sure if part of that is my age, or the fact that our herd is growing or both!
Daily chores, work and after work “work” fills the day with plenty of activity. Ahhh, those lazy days are long gone if you have alpacas in your life (or any other livestock for that matter). But it’s all good. Really good! And talk about rewarding…..seeing those crias bounce around the pasture -- there's simply nothing that compares~
